BERYL BAYLIS 28 September 1934 to 23 April 2001 Beryl was born in Wales in 1934, the seventh child and only daughter of Capt. Richard and Jessie Davies RWF. She grew up in Wales and moved to the Hertofrdshire area in the early 1950s. She devoted her life to her children, Chris, Nick and Samantha, her son-in-law Michael, and her grandchildren Charlotte, Eleanor & Samuel, whose achievements they each attribute largely to her unwavering love, support and encouragement. Tragically her life was cut short by MND in 2001. She bore the illness with her customary stoicism and never complained, right to the end. Sadly, she did not have the opportunity to meet her next two grandchildren, Zachary and Xanthe Rose. The rose was Beryl's favourite flower. As many of you know, Chris married Kate ealier this year: in lieu of wedding gifts they would invite you to donate to Beryl's Fund in order to assist with ongoing research to combat this most devastating of diseases
